Thinking about having your next get-together, family celebration or birthday party at the pool? Then just read on to learn how to make use of this wonderful “Membership Benefit” at the Ben Franklin Swim Club!
Parties of 7 or more non-member guests must be reserved through the Social Chairperson, Danella Vecchio (firstname.lastname@example.org), at least 7 days in advance with the date and time of the party. There is a reservation fee for all parties, $50.00 will guarantee you tables and tent space. A maximum of 20 non-member guests are permitted during your party. Parties will be scheduled in 3 hour time slots. It is quite possible that more than one party will be scheduled during the same time period. You will of course be notified but please note “first come, first serve” for reserving space.
All non-members dressed in swimsuits and intending to swim are considered guests. Members are responsible for signing all nonmember guests in at the front desk. The Pool Manager on duty will collect the guest passes from the member. The first 5 guest passes are free with each party reservation. Additional guest passes may be purchased by check only at the front desk. Additional guest costs are $10 for single guest admission, 5 guest pass punch card for $30 and 10 guest pass punch card for $50. Cash is not accepted.
All guests must be informed of the swim club rules. Members are responsible for ensuring their guests understand the rules, especially diving rules. Members are responsible for clean-up of the area once a party has ended. Failure to do so will result in a $50 fine. The Pool Manager on duty will inspect the area with the member at the end of the party. The cost of any property damage by a guest will be charged to the responsible member of the party.
Please note alcohol is not permitted at parties since alcohol is not permitted on the premises.
Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours prior to the event by contacting the Pool Manager or Social Chairperson. There will be an additional $25 fine for failure to notify the Pool Manager or Social Chairperson of a cancellation.
